Ingredients for Ranch

- Mayonnaise - Duke's or bust! I'm kidding, any kind will do. But I love Duke's!
- Salt and Black Pepper - Start with the suggested amount and then add salt to taste for your liking.
- Garlic Powder
- Onion Powder
- Dill - Fresh or dried will work. I strongly suggest using fresh dill, though! If using dried dill or parsley, keep in mind it's more concentrated and you need less of it.
- Parsley - Fresh or dried
- Buttermilk - You can sub this out for whole milk, but it won't be as creamy.
- Worcestershire - For that umami taste
- Lemon Juice - fresh is always best, but bottled will work
- Apple Cider Vinegar
Step-By-Step Instructions

- Gather ingredients. Chop up dill and parsley if using fresh. Juice lemon.
- Mix together mayo, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dill, and parsley really well.

- Mix in the remaining liquid ingredients (buttermilk, Worcestershire, lemon juice, and vinegar) and refrigerate for 2 hours.
- Serve on salads, with chicken wings, on sliders or anything you desire! Enjoy!

How to Serve Ranch
Ranch dressing is America's favorite, and it's for a good reason. It goes with practically anything! Here are some ideas for serving your ranch:
Ranch as a Dip
Serve as an appetizer with carrots, celery, bell peppers, cucumbers, broccoli, and cherry tomatoes for dipping.
Dip your hot chicken wings, fries, tater tots, or slices of pizza in this cooled dressing! Works great for balancing spicy foods too! We love pairing this with Bacon and Turkey Cabbage Roll, Bacon Sushi Roll, Bacon and Parmesan Wings, and Smoked Bacon Wrapped Brussels Sprouts.
Ranch as a Dressing
Using buttermilk ranch as a dressing isn't just for salads! The possibilities are endless here. Check out these fun ideas!
- Although great on salads like a Low Carb Chicken Salad, try drizzling it on burgers and sliders, buffalo chicken pinwheels, tacos, or burrito bowls, or use it on your baked potatoes. Drizzling ranch on Bacon and Blue Sliders is our go-to appetizer for football tailgating!
- Use it in your side dishes: Mix ranch dressing in your pasta salads, roasted potatoes, coleslaw, or even your deviled eggs! Deviled Eggs with Bacon is a great recipe to start with.
- Mix the ranch in the casserole dishes to keep them nice and creamy. I've used it in a Cheeseburger Casserole and Chicken Wing Casserole before it worked perfectly!

Equipment and Utensils
- Glass Jars - These are clear glass jars with twist lids perfect for preserving and serving sauces and dressings. Comes in a set of 6.
- Silicone Whisks - Although using a spatula will work for this ranch dressing, the silicone ones keep your metal mixing bowls from getting scratched and still get the job done!
- Metal Mixing Bowls - You'll never need to buy another set again. These come with 5 different sizes, with a non slip bottom and lids for storing so you aren't dirtying anything unnecessary dishes just for storage.
Storing Ranch
Refridgerate
Refrigerate the ranch for up to 5-7 days. Keep in mind expiration dates for your buttermilk and mayo. Store in an airtight container or glass jar with a tight lid. Stir before using.
Freezing
NOT RECOMMENDED. The dairy in the ranch separates and curdles once thawed from a frozen state. I strongly suggest just making a fresh batch when you are craving more.

Frequently Asked Questions
You can store the dressing in the fridge for 5-7 days. Make sure to store in an airtight container. I love to use a mason jar.
Yes! Plain Greek Yogurt can be used in place of sour cream. It will add some protein to the dressing!
Regular milk works great, too. I do add a tablespoon of vinegar or freshly squeezed lemon juice to the milk to make it buttermilk. It is best to let it sit for 5-10 minutes.
