Ingredients

To make these easy Bacon and Blue Cheese Sliders, here's what you'll need.
- Hawaiian Slider Rolls - These come in a 12-count package, perfect for serving as an appetizer to a small group. We prep for each person to eat 2 sliders if serving alongside other appetizers.
- Ground Beef - I suggest using leaner beef so you don't lose too much patty size. If using high-fat beef, make your rectangle patty a little larger (this will make more sense below).
- Blue Cheese Crumbles - It's the secret ingredient to this tasty slider! You'll use this to make a blue cheese sauce to drizzle over your patties and top with a bun.
- Onion - The Type of onion is up to you. I suggest using a sweet onion, but we've also made it with red onions, and that turns out great, too!
- Bacon - Using bacon on the griddle allows you to utilize the bacon grease to cook onions and beef in. It's the beauty of bacon!
- Butter - Used for toasting the Hawaiian rolls.
- Mayo - An optional condiment for spreading on the buns.
- Heavy Cream - This will be used for making a sauce with the blue cheese crumbles. You can also use milk, but the heavy cream keeps it creamy and delish.
Step-By-Step Instructions

- Heat up the oil on the griddle and sauté the onions.
- Flatten out ground beef (to the width and length of rolls) and season both sides with salt and pepper. Cook the beef to a medium well done.
For this recipe, I used Flap Top Kings Smash That seasoning. He makes great stuff if you're in the market for some quality seasonings!

- In a medium pot on low heat, add in blue cheese crumbles and heavy cream. Cook until the blue cheese is melted to make your fondue.
- Cook strips of bacon until crispy.

- Cut slider rolls in half and butter them for toasting. Toast buns on griddle or pan for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
- Make burgers by placing mayo on the bottom bun and layer from bottom to top: your beef, sautéed onions, blue cheese fondue, and bacon last.

- Place the top buns on and slice out 12 sliders. Happy grilling!

Customize Your Sliders
- I know that blue cheese isn't everyone's favorite (but if you haven't tried it, you have to!). If you want to look for a substitute, gorgonzola will work.
- While this recipe is for appetizer-sized sliders, you can easily scale them to full-size burgers. Burgers are great, no matter what size, right?!
- Experiment with additions: grilled mushrooms would be delicious!
