Making salsa should only take 10-15 minutes if you want something fresh like this - quick and easy! In this recipe, I walk you through the easiest salsa recipe that you will ever make!

There are many opinions on what's "real" salsa and "not real" salsa. If you are judging this based upon how they make it in Mexico, then no, this is not what you will find there. In Mexico, most of the ingredients are going to be cooked and then pureed. In some parts of Mexico, they are big on using hot sauces in their mixture. My recipe, is made from all fresh ingredients and I found locally here in Knoxville Tennessee. Hope you love it!
Why This Way?
The reason our family makes it this way is so that we can enjoy something that's local, easy and fresh. These ingredients were picked a day or two before this recipe was actually made. Can't get better than that!
What's an Anaheim Pepper?
For this particular recipe, I used an Anaheim pepper. Anaheim peppers aren't nearly as hot as a jalapeno, serano or tabasco pepper. The small amount of spice that is in these peppers doesn't linger either. It's a quick, smokey taste.
Ingredients you'll need:
- 9-10 Medium Tomatoes
- 3 Jalapenos
- ¾ Red Onion
- ½ Bunch of Cilantro
- ¾ to 1 tablespoon Sea Salt (based on your preference)
- 3 Limes Juiced
- 1 Anaheim Pepper
Helpful Supplies and Equipment
- Lemon/Lime Juicer - You'll be surprised how often you use this!
- Knife I used to Slice and Dice (Use Code ChefTim40 to get 40% off whole site)
- Measuring Cup
- Bench Scraper
I would love to have your honest feedback or review of this dish if you made it and or tell me what additions or changes you made to it to adjust to your palate.
