Creamy, tangy, and bursting with fresh flavor, this tzatziki sauce is a must-have in your dip lineup! Made with cool cucumber, zesty garlic, and a generous dose of dill, it's the perfect companion to a classic gyro, or a refreshing appetizer served with crisp vegetables or crunchy pita chips. Whether you're hosting a gathering or just craving a savory snack, this dilly and delicious sauce is sure to be a crowd-pleaser!

I used to think of tzatziki solely as the sauce that goes on gyros. But last summer, someone brought it along on a lake trip as a refreshing snack, paired with cucumbers and chips-and we ended up loving it as a boating treat. Ever since, I've been hooked on perfecting my own version!.

Step-by-Step Instructions
Making Tzatziki Dip

- Step 1: Cut cucumber in ½ long ways and remove the seeds by sliding a spoon along the center.

- Step 2: Grate cucumber on the finest side.
Hint: Removing the juice from the shredded cucumber allows the tzatziki sauce to be more creamy and not runny. Don't skip that step đŸ˜‰

- Step 3: Place shredded cucumber onto paper towels and squeeze out as much juice as possible.

- Step 4: In a medium bowl, mix together all ingredients: yogurt, minced garlic, cucumber, lemon juice, olive oil, chopped dill, salt and pepper.
Hint: Can be served right away, but for best results and taste, refrigerate for 1 hour before using.
Substitutions and additions
- Yogurt: If yogurt isn't your jam, sub it out for sour cream or buttermilk.
- Spicy: Add in 1 diced jalapeño for a fun kick to your dip or for some extra zing on your Gyro.

Equipment
- Flint and Flame Knives - I use these daily and have had them for over 2 years. I've yet to sharpen them! Definitely great quality knives. Code CHEFTIM40 to get 40% this knife or their entire website.
- Mandoline Slicer - You don't need a fancy mandoline. This $15 one has 3 settings and has lasted me years. I used Level 1 to make these potatoes.
- Grater - To finely grate cucumber.
- Lemon Juicer - It holds back the seed and does the work easier and cleaner.
Storage
Refrigerate for up to 4 days in an airtight container.

This is of the better sauce recipes that I make. Its a must try for not only a sauce but a dip and you could even add some cheese.
