Taco Seasoning From Scratch
Making your own taco seasoning allows you to play with flavors, spice it up, AND it saves you money! Simply mix together the following:
- 3 tablespoons Chili Powder
- 2 tablespoons Cumin
- 2 tablespoons Pepper
- 2 ½ tablespoons Kosher Salt or Sea Salt
- 2 tablespoons Oregano
- 2 tablespoons Onion Powder
- 2 tablespoons Garlic Powder
- ½ teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
- 1 tablespoon Paprika

To make your Crockpot Chicken Tacos, here's what you'll need:
- Chicken Breast
- Black Beans
- Salsa
- Sweet Corn
- Taco Seasoning
- Taco Shells, Soft Tortillas, or Tortilla Chips

Step-by-Step Instructions

- Step 1: Place chicken breasts, taco seasoning, frozen corn, salsa and beans into the Crockpot. (Don't strain beans)

- Step 2: Set Crockpot on low and cook for 7 hours.

- Step 3: Shred chicken and prep toppings of your choice.

- Step 4: Top with your favorite ingredients and serve.

Storage
Allow the crockpot chicken taco mixture to cool before storing it in an airtight container. Don't store with excess liquids from the Crockpot. Good for up to 4 days. To reheat, place in the oven for 20-30 minutes at 350°F.
To freeze, place in an airtight container and freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat frozen at 375°F for 1 hour.
