Asian Broccoli Stir Fry is the recipe you need to swap your weekly takeout for a home-cooked meal. Asian food is shockingly easy to make and adapt to your taste buds. Once you have some Asian pantry staples (soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, etc.), your world will open up to a whole new type of cuisine to cook from your very own kitchen.

Instructions for Stir Fry



Step 1 : Start cooking rice in the rice cooker.* Takes about 15-20 minutes.
Step 2 : Cook 1 cup of lentil beans in 2 cups vegetable stock with 1 bay leaf until tender. This will take 12-15 minutes. Then, let cool.
Step 3 : In a medium sized bowl combine: Soy Sauce, Sweetener, Sesame Oil, EVOO, and Onion Powder. Stir to combine and set aside.



Step 4 : Mix broccoli florets with cornstarch and set aside. Chop onion and mushrooms.
Step 5 : Sauté onion and mushrooms until tender (about 6 minutes). Add in garlic and cook for 2 minutes.
Step 6 : Add in broccoli and cook for 4-5 minutes until broccoli starts to soften. Then, add your sauce and cook to incorporate (another 3 minutes).



Step 7 : Serve over rice and top with sesame seeds. Enjoy!

Notes on Ingredients
- Don't be afraid to customize! This Asian Broccoli Stir Fry recipe is packed full of veggies and lends itself well to customization. Some suggested options are: bok choy, water chestnuts, carrots, bell peppers, and more!
- If you missing the meat - feel free to add some! This recipe would pair with just about any protein you may have on hand; shrimp, steak, pork, and chicken.
- Jasmine rice is the preferred choice because of it's texture, but do not let that be the reason you skip this recipe! Any rice will work if needed (even leftover white rice!).
- The lentils are what will make this weeknight meal hearty and filling without the use of meat.
- You can purchase monkfruit sweetener here* - or feel free to substitute with your sweetner of choice.

Equipment
- 1 Rice Cooker
- 1 Medium Mixing Bowl
- 1 Medium Pan
Ingredients
Asian Sauce
- ⅓ Cup Soy Sauce
- 2 tablespoon Monk Fruit Brown Sugar or sweetener of choice
- 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
- 1 ½ tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 ½ teaspoon Onion Powder
Vegetables
- 2 Cup Rice I suggest Jasmine Rice
- 1 Cup Lentils
- 2 Cup Vegetable Stock
- 1 Each Bay Leaf
- 4 ½ Cup Broccoli Florets
- 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
- ¾ Cup Onion
- 1 Cup Mushrooms
- 1 ½ tablespoon Garlic Minced
- ⅛ Cup Sesame Seeds For garnish
Instructions
Lentils and Rice
- Get your rice going in the rice cooker. (takes 15-20 minutes)
- Cook 1 cup of lentil beans in 2 cups vegetable stock with 1 bay leaf until tender. (About 12-15 minutes) Then you will let that cool.
Sauce
- In a medium sized bowl combine: Soy Sauce, Sweetener, Sesame Oil, EVOO, and Onion Powder. Stir to combine and set aside.
