Made directly from the broth of a cooked turkey, this gravy is better than any store bought mix! In only a few steps, you'll have a gravy you'll want to put on every side for your Thanksgiving meal.
Pour broth into a measuring cup and let it sit for a few minutes until you see the oil settle on top of the broth.
Get a syringe and very gently pull the oil off the top. You must do this very slowly and ensure your syringe is not submerged much below the oil otherwise it will start pulling broth because of the suction of the syringe.
Next heat your pot to medium heat for a few minutes. Then, add in your oil and flour stirring until the roux starts to turn golden brown and become like a tooth paste consistency.
Slowly drizzle in ⅓ cup of your broth into the roux and give it a couple minutes of stirring. It will thicken. Then, slowly drizzle in the rest of the broth and serve with your turkey.
