Grilled bacon-wrapped hot dogs made with just a few simple ingredients like crispy bacon and bold seasoning are easy, fun, and perfect for cookouts or backyard grilling.
Prep the Hot Dogs - Wrap each hot dog with a slice of bacon, slightly overlapping the bacon as you go. Secure both ends with toothpicks to secure the bacon on each end while grilling. 6 Hot Dogs6 strips bacon
Season the Dogs - Generously season all sides of the bacon-wrapped hot dogs with your favorite BBQ seasoning or all-purpose rub. 2 tablespoon BBQ Rub
Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to 400°F
Grill the Hot Dogs: Place the bacon-wrapped hot dogs directly on the grill grates. Grill the dogs at 400°F for about 7 minutes per side, turning carefully to cook evenly on all sides.
Check for Doneness: Continue grilling until the bacon is fully cooked and lightly crisp. You want the bacon perfectly cooked. Not too crispy and not too chewy.
Serve: Remove the toothpicks and place them in the buns. Top with favorite toppings and serve immediately. 6 Hot Dog Buns

Tims Tips
Use Thin-Cut Bacon - Thin-cut bacon works best because it cooks more evenly alongside the hot dog. Thick-cut bacon can take a little longer and might not crisp up properly.
Don't Overlap Bacon - For even cooking and best results, don't overlap the bacon. A single layer works best.
Don't Skip the Toothpicks - The toothpicks are important to hold the bacon in place on the hot dogs. Just remove before serving.
Pre-Wrap for Easy Hosting - Save time at your cookout by wrapping the dogs ahead of time. Keep them covered in the fridge until you are ready to grill.
Storage
Refrigeration: Leftover bacon-wrapped hot dogs should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. The buns should be stored in a separate container.Reheating: To reheat, place in a skillet over medium heat for 6-7 minutes or until warm. You can also use an air fryer at 325°F for several minutes. I do not recommend the microwave because it softens the bacon.
