Easy Yeast Rolls
These Easy Yeast Rolls require only 7 ingredients to make soft, fluffy, homemade golden rolls.
Equipment
- Oven
- 12 Inch Oven Safe Skillet
- Mixer and Dough Hook
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Whole Milk luke warm
- 3 tablespoon Honey
- 1 tablespoon Instant Yeast
- 3 Cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- ¼ Cup Unsalted Butter softened
- 1 Egg
- 2 tablespoon Salted Butter melted for topping
Instructions
- Make the Dough: Warm up the milk until it reaches 110°F. Using a mixer and dough hook, beat together (on a low speed) the warm milk, flour, honey, salt, egg, unsalted butter and the instant yeast. After 4 minutes, the dough should start to come off clean from the walls of the bowl. Add small amounts of flour if needed.
- Shaping Rolls: Use a scale to cut the dough into 12 equal sizes (this was about 2.8 grams each). To shape them, lightly press dough onto your palm and then fold up the sides onto one another to make a ball and pinch together. Then, place the pinched side face down.
- Prep for Baking: Preheat the oven to 400°F and coat a 12 inch cast iron skillet with butter. Place the dough rolls evenly separated around the skillet. Cover with a damp cloth and allow the dough to rise for 10 minutes on the countertop.
- Bake: Remove the damp cloth and place the cast iron skillet in the oven uncovered. Bake for 15 minutes (until golden brown). Brush them with melted salted butter and serve warm.

Notes
Store cooled yeast rolls in an airtight ziplock or container for up to 3 days at room temperature. Placing them in the fridge or freezer will cause them to dry out quickly and is not recommended.
